These have to be the best Machinima videos I have ever seen by Michael Barnes. Using IN GAME footage from Call Of Duty 4: Modern Warfare the videos look like something taken from a movie. In the first video the audio was done post production and the second is a track by Godspeed You Black Emporer called Moya. Infinity Ward has done an exceptional job with COD4 considering something like this can come from a game.

While we had always believed that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare would turn out to be an awesome video game, we were pleasantly surprised to see it become as large of a smash hit as it is today.

We were overjoyed with the recent news that COD4:MW surpassed Halo 3 as the top played game on Xbox LIVE.

Even more impressive, it was just announced that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the best selling video game title worldwide for the 2007 calendar year according to The NPD Group, Chart Track and The GFK Group! The fact that this game was released in November and only had two months to achieve the top position is phenomenal.

Instead, developer Treyarch — makers of the previous Call of Duty 3 — will take the reigns of this one, which supposedly is set back in World War II. How unoriginal. ” — Electronic Gaming Monthly

Quite unoriginal indeed. However, many are curious if Treyarch will implement the various features of Call of Duty 4 such as the innovative ” Perks ” system which allowed players to mix-and-match upgrades — giving them that small advantage in tight situations whilst on the battlefield. Albetit the game is set back to the early twentith century, it may be far too soon to throw this title to the sharks and call it horridbly vapid. If Treyarch gives the player that same sense of urgency to match the superb Call of Duty 4 experience we have come to love — this blackballed development team may soon have a hit on their hands.

That’s right, Golden Eye for Xbox Live has been canceled. I really wanted this one to come out as well, I would have been first in line to purchase it with 1000’s of points ready.
