While we had always believed that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare would turn out to be an awesome video game, we were pleasantly surprised to see it become as large of a smash hit as it is today.
We were overjoyed with the recent news that COD4:MW surpassed Halo 3 as the top played game on Xbox LIVE.
Even more impressive, it was just announced that Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare was the best selling video game title worldwide for the 2007 calendar year according to The NPD Group, Chart Track and The GFK Group! The fact that this game was released in November and only had two months to achieve the top position is phenomenal.

I expected that this game would be the hit that it is; after playing the BETA it was almost guaranteed. The gameplay, graphics, sound and overall polish to this game is outstanding. One of my favorite top ten games for sure.

Underappreciated maybe, over rated? I think not.
Fantastic game, I guess any game can become tiresome if you’re playing it 24/7. (Except Socom 2 lol)
